Today the club have made another signing as preparations start to shift towards the start of Pre-Season ready for the 2021/22 season as we announce the signing of Ryan Campbell-Gordon.
Ryan, who was recently at Port Vale before being released has signed a contract at the club which shall commence on the 1st of July.
Speaking with the club’s media Ryan said: “It’s a good environment here, I can’t wait to get started really. I’ve been through everything with Ron and Carl, been through the team, been through my position being moved up onto the wing.”
Mentioning Carl and the impact he had on him signing he said: “Carl for me was a big influence, I knew him from my time and Port Vale and when I was there, he spoke to me quite a bit, I just can’t wait to get started.”
With Pre-Season starting in just a few weeks’ time, Carl’s squad is starting to take shape with the new additions that have arrived at the club.
Speaking about his new signing Carl said: “Yeah I’m over the moon, to get somebody in of Ryan’s quality is obviously a massive coup for us here.”
“I just want Ryan to come and enjoy his football, be in an environment where he can express himself and just get the best out of him where he is going to be happy.”
Carl also spoke to the Clubs’ media team about the start of preparations for Pre-Season and how much he is looking forward to it.
He said: “You look at the signings we have bought in there is some fantastic signings in there that have added to the group massively.”
“I have stated before that Pre-Season will be tough for the lads so they are going to have to make sure they come back with a certain level of fitness because if they don’t it will be very tough for them.”
“There is one thing that my team will be at that’s that they will be fit, they will be strong, they will be organised, no one really looks forward to Pre-Season but once the games start to roll around the lads will be ready.”
