Hanley Town 2-1 Stone Old Alleyians

Reece Jones scored twice either side of half time to ensure Hanley maintained their unbeaten start to the season.
Hanley started the better side on the night and this was rewarded when Charlie Walford found space on the left to cross for Jones who swept the ball into the net first time.
Whilst Hanley were the dominate side Stone still threatened when they came forward but nothing came to fruition.
Just on the stroke of half time Stone did grab an equalizer, when the ball was crossed in player/manager Luke Askey rose highest to head the ball home.
Hanley had work to do in the second half with Stone proving to be difficult to break down.
Tommy Simkin in the Hanley goal still had to be aware and was forced into a coupe of smart saves to deny a second for Stone.
It took until the 73rd minute for Hanley to find the breakthrough.
A quick goal kick found Walford who played a fantastic diagonal ball to Jones who volleyed the ball first time into the top corner.
Hanley moved to second in the league with a game in hand maintaining their unbeaten start.
