Exciting Board Changes

Hanley Town Football Club has today announced changes to its board of directors as the club looks ahead to a bright future.

Chairman Ron Mcilreavy states ” This is a very exciting time for Hanley Town football to add two ambitious executive directors onto the board aids with both on field and off field investment, this brings us to a executive board of five with clear objectives set out, both as individuals and a collective”

The first new face on the board is Lee Dunne. Lee is currently founder and CEO of Payaro Europe as well as being a non executive director and board advisor to a number of other businesses within the banking and investment sector. Lee will join the club with immediate effect as CEO with a key focus on the commercial development of the club. Lee said “I am delighted to have reached an agreement with the club to join as CEO and continue the fantastic work the chairman and the other directors have been carrying out in the past 18 months in what have been really difficult times for everybody. We have a really clear vision for the club to bring success whilst remaining true to our values around sustainability and corporate and social responsibility, and I really cant wait to get started”

Also joining the board is Daniel Dunne. Dan is currently the co-founder and CMO of Payaro Europe as well as being a board advisor to some of the largest businesses within the financial technology sector around go to market strategy, brand awareness and digital transformation. Dan will join the club with immediate effect as Executive Vice Chairman with a key focus on corporate and social responsibility within the community, alternate revenue streams and brand awareness. Dan said “I am really excited to have been invited to join the board of Hanley Town Football Club and to continue in supporting and further developing the clubs outreach objectives and initiatives, I believe the club should be for the community and the fans and I intend to tell that story to a much wider audience of why we are “The Peoples Club”.

As part of the structural change Lesley Blowers will transition from her role as Executive Vice Chairman and will take up the role of treasurer with immediate effect. Stalwart of the club Paul Legge will take up the role as Operations Director.
