Sat (14th): First Team defeated at Home by Squires Gate. Reserves not in action.

It was another defeat for our First-Team on Saturday. Despite leading 1-0 at half-time we were comfortably beaten second-half by the visitors, the game ending 1-3. Dan Needham grabbing Hanley’s goal.

This might sound very familiar, as the game was near identical to last weeks defeat at Barnoldswick – leading 1-0 at half time, playing well, and then falling apart in the second-half, with that game also ending 3-1 to the opposition.

If the season is to carry on (is doubtful at the moment, at least in the short-term, with the Coranavirus), there is a lot of hard work to do, if we are to avoid the bottom spot in the league. Our next scheduled league game is against Winsford Utd, next Saturday at home, though of course this could change given the current situation.

Our Reserves meanwhile, were not in action, with their game at Wolstanton Utd postponed. They’re scheduled to be next in action on Wednesday, at home, though of course this could also change given the current situation.

Updates to be posted on here, and on our social media pages.
